HDR Calibration settings section has several options:
$ads={2}
- HDR Style - set the option to Game mode. In Cinematic mode, the game has a limited peak brightness, which may cause the game to look dim.
- Peak Brightness - set the value by finding the HDR peak brightness value of your TV on the website RTINGS.COM (10% HDR peak brightness).
- Paper White - affects image exposure. Increase the Paper White value until the brightness of the sun in the sky test image increases. If the brightness has stopped increasing, the sky turns into a solid glow and you don't see any clouds details in the sky - the value is too high. Details in the shadows should also be clearly visible, but not lose the depth of black. It is recommended to start regulation from 200-300.
To understand how this parameter affects the image, see the image below.
If your TV is always does tone mapping and it can't be turned off, fine tuning peak brightness is pointless. Set the Peak Brightness to a few thousand nits and adjust Paper White to an acceptable value.
