Test images of HDR calibration settings provide a fairly accurate representation of actual brightness levels.
The Max Brightness slider controls the peak brightness of the game and has a value in nits. Set the Max Brightness slider value by finding the HDR peak brightness value (10%) of your TV on the website RTINGS.COM.
The White Level slider sets the exposure of the image. The default value of 150 is quite balanced, but if you think that the image is too dark or light, then when adjusting, follow the rule: the details in the shadow should be clearly visible (left test image), but the snow should not be too bright (right test image).
If your TV has an always active tone mapping that cannot be turned off, then set the Max Brightness value to a few thousand nits and adjust the White Level value to an acceptable result.
