Try to find data about the peak brightness of your TV on the site RTINGS.COM (value HDR peak brightness 10%). Before adjusting, make sure you have set the TV settings correctly.
To adjust the HDR Brightness slider, multiply the value by 100 to get the peak brightness in nits (i.e. 8 is 800 nits, 15 is 1500 nits, etc.). Adjust the slider value according to the your TV peak brightness value.
If, after setting the correct TV settings, you notice washed out colors and low contrast, then you can try to compensate for this by adjusting the black level of your TV.
